The HKU School of Public Health is inviting Hong Kong residents aged between 18 and 45 who did not receive flu vaccine in the past 24 months to join a flu vaccination programme. Details: The study hopes to understand the future vaccination strategy by examining how immunity is boosted by repeated vaccination. Participants will be randomly assigned by computer to different study groups and receive flu vaccine or placebo. The research team will collect blood, nasal strip and other respiratory samples before and after the vaccination, and ask you questions about the vaccine and administer study questionnaires. Participant will be given free COVID-19 antibody and Influenza rapid test and will receive supermarket coupons (maximum $1,000 annually) after providing blood or respiratory specimens each time.
